*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ .・゜゜・ - born as Amna Kurtic, started producing music, as early as 13 , when she got her first iPod, which contained GarageBand back in the early 2010s. Self-taught to play several instruments, she also had a passion for visual arts.
This drove her to pursue an education in fine arts and digital media, and graduate with a BFA in Interdisciplinary Arts & English.
As a kid, she would autistically make music on phones, in gas station restrooms, and at bus stops, a chaotic lullaby. Releasing her first demo album she made in high school, reaching over 1 million streams worldwide last time she checked.
Amna’s work specifically tends to focus on two separate art forms that were fused together showing her “chromesthesian” abilities, both visual arts and music. Her work embodies the idea that color and sound can be intertwined to create a powerful experience. By connecting sound and color, she demonstrates how we can find greater harmony.
That being said, Amna currently resides in Halifax, NS. and is trying to enjoy this world, as sad as it is. She is currently very focused on political art, as she believes words can be used as a shield, not just as a weapon in these difficult times.
Amna spends most of her free time in the woods, chasing white rabbits at full speed and screaming around. She believes in the positive impact art has on this sad world, and that by embracing this concept, we can take a step closer to creating a kinder, more compassionate one.
